Instantbird

Well, it doesn't look like it has webcam support which is a bit disappointing, however...the GUI, If you use Firefox 3.x, should be very...familiar. It is seriously like Firefox: The IM Client lol. It has the same Close Tab button, the same add-on feature, even the same 3-second delay. It seemed faster at first, not quite so sure now. Problems I'm seeing so far are that I haven't figured out how to combine contacts, it isn't as subtle as Pidgin can be as far as I can tell...it's not quite as obviously horrible as some of the instant messengers I've tried but I don't think this will replace Pidgin for me. If you really like the Firefox GUI then perhaps give it a try? It was very user friendly, that's for sure.
